Help with a Q on Israel as God’s wife

April 24th, 2016
Ed Chait April 18 at 2:40am I just received this question and could use some help with it. After reading several commentaries, there are different and convoluted bunny holes for answers. Read allegorically, the answer becomes much simpler. "In Jeremiah 3:8 why did God say, "I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce"? Like Like Love Haha Wow Sad Angry Comment Seen . . .

Discussion on Cessationism

April 24th, 2016
Tim White April 19 at 10:41am My cessation views, and other people's, I think. My goal here in addressing my cessationist views, and those of my closest associates through the years, it to be honest about what I believe and debunk some misconceptions others may have when they hear or read us say that signs and wonders have ceased. I will attempt to insert some tension-reducing humor and enough self-deprivation to mask my arrogance in this topic. (I warned you). I believe in miracles. I believe in healings. . . .

Discussion on Church Discipline

April 14th, 2016
Jonathan Morales April 12 at 4:34pm Greetings my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! Those who sin should be reprimanded in front of the whole church; this will serve as a strong warning to others. (1 Timothy 5:20) Paul is talking specifically about the elders in the church who persist in sin. How exactly should this correction be done? Does the pastor have to spontaneously rebuke the sinning elder in front of the whole congregation? wouldn't this cause an extreme shock to the congregation and even . . .

Discussion on “messy church”

April 13th, 2016
Dean Revell April 7 at 12:53pm I had a question today from somebody asking about 'Messy church' and whether it was biblical ? I have never heard of it before but looking at one of the web sites it seems to be a means of getting people to get involved in a church setting without actually being in church, so to speak - a springboard for encouraging people who wouldnt normally want to go to church to become exposed to the Truth through personal witness, guest speakers or even being invited to the services ? . . .

February 26th, 2016
Jason Finch February 26 at 11:22am · Chatsworth, CA, United States Any thoughts on this question would be great. When Jesus turned over tables and rebuked the people in His Fathers house for selling sacrifices there, was what He did contrary to this verse in Galatians 6:1? Galatians 6:1... Discussion on ways to do communion

February 26th, 2016
Heath Tibbetts February 25 at 2:57pm Since I figure MOST of you go to church, I'm looking for any creative ideas you have seen or used in your churches for observing Lord's Supper? I'm planning some variety in hopes of rekindling the significance of this observance in our church. Thanks! Comments Brian Marcum Perhaps a liturgical approach to corporate confession if you're Church hasn't done that before. Or perhaps intinction... or both. Like · Reply . . .

On pastoral burnout

February 26th, 2016
Robert Pristoop February 26, 2016 Pastor Burnout? Did you know that 1500 pastors a MONTH leave their congregations because of burnout? Interesting article below for Pastors. Written by Church Planter. Speaker. Author. CEO. Raul Rivera. Pastor Dave sat at his desk wondering what he would eat for dinner once the clock finally struck 5. Unfortunately, his “spaghetti daydream” was interrupted by an abrupt “ring, ring!” from his cell phone. “Dave speaking,” he announced. “Hi Pastor? . . .
