Volunteer 10 Year Bios

November 1st, 2023
TEN YEAR BIOS: These volunteers have been serving with Got Questions Ministries for ten years! Below is a bit about their experiences during that time. Enjoy! Esther Pearson (June, 2013): I got involved in "Got Questions" after submitting a question and receiving a great, very detailed answer in response to my question. I thought writing for "Got Questions" would be a great way to share my knowledge from seminary and to also be exposed to the type of questions people were asking. I wanted to see if there were patterns in the questions that were . . .

Ten Year Anniversary Volunteer Highlights

November 1st, 2022
Every November we like to highlight volunteers who have served with us for ten years and share a small part of their Got Questions journey. Enjoy getting to know some fellow laborers! Robert Marx (May 2012): I have enjoyed writing for the “Got Questions?” ministry. I found the ministry during a dark period of my life. I have been in the military, for over half of it in the National Guard Reserves, in my adult years until I “slipped a disk” or rather, blew it up, causing something like an aneurism.  The leaders of the wing called . . .

10 years ago I stumbled across Got Questions pulling up research for a Sunday School lesson. I then found the site to have honest, truthful and biblical responses in every article I reviewed. When I found out they were looking for more writers God moved me to volunteer so I did so. . To properly respond back to a questioner, one must be responsible, accountable and do so accurately and biblically and within the 3 day time frame.  I can honestly say that every time I have received a question, I never cease to be amazed, for God opens up the . . .

Thanks for this opportunity.  I was clued in to the Got Questions site by a friend who is a mission worker with the Navigators in Colorado.  After checking it out, the opportunity to become a GQ writer was inviting.  I have found the "work" of doing research regarding questions both challenging and helpful in my own growth in understanding Scripture and God's will for His children and for the world in general. If there is one topic I like best, it is the new covenant in Christ with the promises of God for all who believe. . . .

I was saved at age 14 and struggled as a Christian in various legalistic Churches through my mid-40’s. When our disabled son became suicidally depressed, my wife and I searched the scriptures which seemed silent about that topic. I registered into a community college and began taking psychology. I found that to be empty, too. We continued to search until we were steered to the true meaning of the gospel. Since then, my son recovered, and my wife and I found victory in our Christian lives simply by believing what the Bible says. . . .

What got you involved in Got Questions Ministries? I went through a period in my life many years ago where I felt God was developing me to answer questions. God started with fulfilling my many questions while freeing me from false religion. I discovered that I really liked apologetics etc… I was used to answer questions through my ministry. I watch how many in radio ministries answered questions thus reaffirming that God’s hand was on me for joining this action. I also got involved in GQ because I love helping ministries as God leads me. . . .

I was referred to Got Questions by a mentor/pastor and I used your site for a few weeks before I applied to be a volunteer.  Writing for you keeps me in the Word and helps keep me “sharp” as far as leadership and pastoral ministry is concerned.  I enjoy answering questions which I research, but I most enjoy answering questions related to church polity and guidance for areas of church life not addressed particularly in the Bible.

I got involved with Got Questions more “by chance” than by intention. I was searching for some information related to a Christian topic on the internet, and in the search results, the Got Questions site came up. On surfing through the site, I found a link on getting involved with Got Questions. Through following that link, I expressed the desire to be a volunteer to answer questions. I was sent a “test question” and my answer to it was accepted; that is how my journey with GQ began, and has continued.           . . .
