Happy April, all! I imagine many of us have Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday on our minds. What a truly stunning reality to contemplate: “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). “Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith … for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). God’s love for us is vast and His rescue astounding. As you prepare your hearts and minds to gather with brothers and sisters in Christ, and prayerfully also some for whom this season will be the time when they receive the gospel and become a brother or sister in Christ, may you be more deeply amazed at the truth of the gospel, more at rest in the Lord, and all the more eager to give Him praise.
