Help with a Q on Israel as God’s wife

I just received this question and could use some help with it. After reading several commentaries, there are different and convoluted bunny holes for answers. Read allegorically, the answer becomes much simpler.

“In Jeremiah 3:8 why did God say, “I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce”?

Barbara Ann Reynolds Ed, Dr. Arnold Fructenbaum is a phenomenal theologian. He is dispensational and a believing Jew. Most Christians have never heard of the concept of “Israel the wife of Jehovah” or if they have seen it in Scripture they are confounded by the corresponding “Bride of Christ” concept in the NT.

His is the best and most comprehensive explanation I have ever read. This is just a summary. He has an excellent book called “israelology” and also one called “Footsteps of the Messiah.”

Ed Chait I love this ministry. I love everything about it. I love all of you guys and I love what we do. Researching this question was a revelation for me as regards God’s marriage covenant with Israel, His divorce from her, and His death releasing her to re-marry Him.

Maybe this is fairly common knowledge, but I never saw it before. I’m totally blown away.
