Jeff Laird Local TV Appearance – On Apologetics and with a GQ plug

October 24th, 2014
Jeff Laird October 23, 2014 · Edited I had a chance to appear on a local TV show, for an unscripted, one-take, no-prep interview on apologetics. The interview proper starts around 7:00, I got a mention in for Got Questions around 14:00; also at 45:00 with more details and stats. Interesting opportunity, talked about the basis for apologetics and my personal approach.http://bat.pegcentral.com/player.php?video=de3933c4b8b3eaf143f5893564dae57e Peoples #115 BAT.PEGCENTRAL.COM UnlikeUnlike . . .

On using end times prophecy as a witnessing tool

October 22nd, 2014
Ed Chait October 21 at 2:06pm As a witnessing strategy, do you guys think it would be effective to tell nonbelievers who resist the gospel something that we generally agree is going to happen in the end-times that hasn't happened yet? For instance, what if we told them that Israel was going to agree to a 7-year pact of peace with the antichrist, and that he will betray them halfway through? I know they have hardened their hearts against God and that God will harden their hearts even further during the Tribulation, . . .

On different types of apologetics

October 20th, 2014
Jeff Laird 3 hrs One of my recent answers, to a question I've actually seen people bicker over: which apologetics method is "best"? Question: What's the best type of apologetics: presuppositional, classical, or evidential? God uses some degree of the evidential type and uses miracles. But Paul hints in Romans 1:20 that presuppositional apologetics is the most biblical type. This is very confusing. Answer: Asking which kind of apologetics is “best” is sort of like asking which type of mathematics is “best”: . . .

On providing links/references to songs in answers

October 19th, 2014
Sarah Van Baale October 19, 2014 I have never referenced a song, and I'm very hesitant to, because not all music is created equal. In fact, I take issue with certain Christian songs they play on the radio, because the theology behind the lyrics isn't always sound. However, after just submitting an answer to a young woman who was raped and feels unworthy of God's love, this song really came to mind.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXI0B4iMLuU I tried very hard to convey this message to her through words, verses, and love, . . .

Question on “Prophetic Preaching”

Jimmy Turner October 14 at 1:20pm · Chattanooga, TN I saw the GQ Facebook post about X3. I've used Covenant Eyes before, but I had to cancel my service because it was incompatible with the school server for my PhD program (Moodle). Does anyone know if X3 has similar trouble with school programs? LikeLike · Seen by 29 Jed Kramer I can't personally vouch for K9webprotection, but I've heard it protects without 'over protecting'.
