Question on the Evangelical Covenant Church

September 9th, 2014
Ed Chait September 7 at 10:18pm · Edited Just received a question about the "The Evangelical Covenant Church". I'm not familiar with this denomination, but a Google search provided this main link and several others. Their core beliefs state that they are Bible-centered, but that they allow flexibility in interpretation. Their core beliefs also don't mention the name of Jesus or what they believe specifically about Him. ...See More Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) | The Evangelical . . .

Geology in the Middle East

September 9th, 2014
Steve Ray Webb September 6 at 5:25am I worked geology of the Middle East for 5 years and while most of my time focused on Kuwait and Qatar I was able to spend some serious time on the geology of Israel. Israel is bordered by the Dead Sea Transform, which forms the course of the Jordan River. It is one of the largest and most important fault systems in the world, continuing all the way through Africa via the Great African Rift Valley. It is a giant tear in the Earth. Including Resources in Answers and Questions about Feedback

September 9th, 2014
Nace Howell August 28 at 10:05am Hello brothers and sisters! I have a few questions: The first is, should we include sources? I know that we should refrain from guiding people to other websites, etc., which makes perfect sense, but I'm curious if sources are considered such. Secondly, the limitation being around one page in Word, does that mean the shorter the better? Does it seems that answers would be easier to understand if there is less information? Anyways, I'm waiting to hear some feedback on my first answer. I . . .

Scriptures to Ponder

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. … Whatever you do, work heartily, as for . . .

Answering Tips / Reminders

September 3rd, 2014

Assignors attempt to search the site for appropriate articles to answer questions, but sometimes we miss them. Or sometimes we think the question requires a response that’s a bit more personalized than the related article. Either way, please feel free to use GotQuestions.org as a resource in your responses.

Remember that Blogos.org is also a good resource for responses, particularly for current event issues.

Prayer Requests: September 2014

September 3rd, 2014

We would so appreciate your prayers for us:

1. Thank God with us for His abundant financial provision. Please pray that we would be good stewards of what God has provided.

2. We definitely need wisdom in regards to what our priorities should be. There is so much we could be doing, and simply not enough time or resources to do them all.

3. Please pray for protection from spiritual attack for us and our families.

Can we be praying for you in a specific way? If so, please let us know!
