As a ministry, we’ve been thinking through and discussing our values. In the next months, I’ll be highlighting some of those values and providing specific tips for answering questions. So keep an eye out for that. This month, we’ll talk about discipleship.
DISCIPLESHIP: For us, this means providing content that encourages spiritual growth and pointing users toward resources, tools, and opportunities for ongoing spiritual growth and real-world engagement in Bible-believing church communities.
Every question you receive is an opportunity to help someone grow in the Lord and encourage them to continual growth in Him. We know the connection is digital, but we also know the impact is personal and has real-world implications. Here are some tips for how to encourage discipleship in your responses:
- Model how to go about answering questions as you answer. This is done through things like providing scriptural support and writing with logical flow to build an argument.
- Discuss implications of the truth of God’s Word by providing practical advice.
- Remind questioners of some basic spiritual disciplines like Bible study, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
- Encourage questioners to actively participate in a Bible-believing local church and to engage with the people around them.
- Provide links to resources with important
foundational information and/or further information. Here are a few I often
recommend:
