Geology in the Middle East

September 9th, 2014

I worked geology of the Middle East for 5 years and while most of my time focused on Kuwait and Qatar I was able to spend some serious time on the geology of Israel. Israel is bordered by the Dead Sea Transform, which forms the course of the Jordan River. It is one of the largest and most important fault systems in the world, continuing all the way through Africa via the Great African Rift Valley. It is a giant tear in the Earth. God has warned that there will be earthquakes during the end times, and I can assure you that this fault has the ability to fulfill that prophecy with staggering power.

  • Barbara Ann Reynolds Thank you for your comments, Steve. I’ve spent some time traveling in this area but I did not realize the earthquake potential. Personally, I don’t plan to be around for this earthquake. I also did not realize it was connected to the African Rift Valley. Very interesting. I’m also enjoying your India maps although they don’t make a lot of sense to me. Give me an EKG any day….
  • Alyson Dreyer God promised an earthquake the likes of which this world has never seen. And he always keeps his promises. Isn’t God fabulous!?
