Help with a Q on Mosaic Law

May 6th, 2015
Joe Maxey May 5, 2015 Here's a question I received yesterday. I assume the questioner is asking about whether we are still under the Jewish legal system and dietary laws and why is there a trinity? Any ideas on this one? What explanation would you give then to what Jesus said in Mathew 5:17-20? This is directly from God Himself. And also what explanation will you give on the writings of the prophets, there prophecies about the house of Juda and the house of Israel without the hebraic root understa... See More Like . . .

Writer Discussion on Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry

May 6th, 2015
Justin Tilghman May 6, 2015 Sort of tagging on Ed Chait's question: does anyone here have any experience or thoughts on Bethel Church's School of Supernatural Ministry? Does GQ have a particular opinion on it? We have several people in our area attending a local campus and some of the things I read on their website give me pause. It seems VERY heavy on signs and wonders and Christ dying to make his people "a new race of beings on the planet who [are] naturally supernatural." They have a prayer room that looks very much . . .

Writer Discussion on how the doctrine of a “Second Blessing” affects a church

May 6th, 2015
Ed Chait May 4 at 12:20am ยท Edited My wife and I were talking today about the doctrine of a second "baptism of the Holy Spirit" as a separate and distinct event from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. In addition to there being no significant scriptural support for this, we both thought it essentially produces two classes of believers. Those who have attained the requirements for or been favored with this second blessing and those who haven't. I haven't had all that much exposure to this . . .

Encouragement from a Writer – Graph of Site Users

May 5th, 2015
Robbie Holmes uploaded a file in the group: Got Questions Writers. May 5, 2015 Hey guys, this is a bit nerdy but I keep a record of user hits over the past years and though it might inspire you all to continue in this great ministry. These are the "user" figures (i do have the others too!) As Church attendance declines the number of people going on line goes the other way! we just need to know where to cast our nets . . .

RECOMMENDED RESOURCES โ€“ PLEASE GIVE US YOUR SUGGESTIONS

May 4th, 2015

At the suggestion of one of our writers (thank you, Chris Dupre!), we’re compiling a list of recommended resources for our volunteers. Please tell us what websites, books, tools, etc. you use to help with your answers or in your own Christian walk. It would be great if you could include a little blurb about what the site or tool offers and whether it is free to use. Please email your suggestions to Gwen@GotQuestions.org by May 20th.

And if you want to list us as a place you volunteer, you can now do that and it will link directly to our page. Just start typing our name and we should show up in the drop-down list. Also be sure to follow us!

Praises and Prayer Requests – May 2015

May 4th, 2015
We value your prayers for us. Thank you for them! This month please especially pray: 1. That our questioners would ask with tender hearts and be led into truth and freedom. We are thrilled at changes we've seen in some of our frequent questioners and pray that God would continue to work in their hearts and lives. What a privilege to take part in His work. 2. That our writers would know God's presence in their lives and would sense His equipping for responding to questions. We praise God for the things He is doing in your lives and the way . . .
