Question on the Jews and having a king

February 4th, 2016
Wendyl Leslie February 3, 2016 Question for the group: "When did the Jews stop having their own king and why?" I don't know how to answer that question. However, I've always thought the Jews were still awaiting the arrival of the Messiah to become their king and ruler. Any thoughts on this question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much! Question: Should Christians make as much money as they possibly can in order to give more to God, or make less money, and give more time in ministry to family, church, neighbors, and their community? Answered by: Gregg Bursey, who has been a volunteer with us since January, 2014. Answer: Thank you for this question. The Bible contains stories of many people ranging from very rich to very poor, and both categories of people also have people in them in which God is pleased with. So you yourself can be a billionaire or live purely on assistance . . .

Encouraging Story from a look into Got Questions’ history

February 1st, 2016
Winter can be a dreary time of year, and as February comes some of the excitement of a New Year has worn off and hope can start to dwindle. I thought this little story would be of encouragement: Shea recently stumbled across a newsletter from the fall of 2003, around the time God led Got Questions to move from Kansas City to Colorado Springs. The newsletter reported that in November 2003, the writers at GotQuestions.org answered question number 20,000. Today our question numbers are over 452,000. In October 2003, 9 people indicated they'd accepted . . .

Help on a Question regarding Isaiah 13:16 and rape

January 27th, 2016
Laurel J. Davis Janaury 26, 2016 Could use your help with this one I was just assigned. I want to be able to address her concerns about Isaiah 13:16 in particular, while at the same time (and most importantly) sharing the truth of the Gospel with her. Thank you. Here's the question: I have seen your article describing how the bible condemns rape several times but I would like to know how you respond to Isaiah 13:15-16 I genuinely care to know, I respect any and all beliefs and have no intentions of offending . . .

Kristi-Joy Matovich January 25 at 6:56pm GQM has ventured into the world of Pinterest!
