Praise – Testimonial regarding suicide

October 13th, 2015

A “question”:

I read your site’s article about suicide while sitting here alone in front of my 9mm. Just a few moments earlier, I had finally come to closure with the intense struggle I’ve faced over the last year of wanting to end my life. I had always found a way to keep resisting suicide, “just one more day,” as I’ve said to myself so many times. Tonight though, I finally let go. I unanxiously decided this is the hour that I would end my life. As I looked curiously at my g

    • Michael Karpf
Michael Karpf salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and not works. That includes suicide. If as a result of suicide you lose your salvation and go to hell, it means that Christianity is nothing more than another salvation by works religion and Christ’s death on the cross was meaningless. Jesus words, IT IS FINISHED still stand today. Everything that was necessary to atone for our sins was finished and nothing can add or take away from it. I can understand the depression, being suicidal myself. Even thought it is not the answer, when you get to the point where you just want to end your suffering, and are convinced God is not going to intervene does appear to make suicide a vulnerable answer. But like you said, and I’ve seen, the only answer was God’s grace. By God’s grace, I didn’t commit suicide.

Patrick Thompson Praise God for His divine intevension in this person’s life and that GQ had the right message to turn them around. Their is much to be said about a Christian and suicide, but I’m thankful that God has told us in His Word that nothing can seperate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lordl. (Romans 8:38-39).

Blaine Cardilli I’ve been a Christian my whole life but not until I rededicated myself to GOD 25 yrs ago did I actually believe I was saved.

When I was 22, (33 long years ago), my fiance left me cold; moved away, no explanations. I was devastated. I got a case of be
er and was almost thru it in a tiny camp in the woods and around 10pm, sobbing & drooling, I put a rifle barrel in my mouth, looked at a photo of Jesus on the wall thru blurry eyes and said, “I’m sorry…please don’t let my mom find me; Let it be someone else”. I bit down on the barrel and had my finger on the trigger, eyes closed and started to squeeze…

All of a sudden the camp door burst open and a good friend charged in and grabbed the rifle, nearly taking my teeth with it. How it didnt go off is a mystery. Thru teary eyes he said he’d been laying in bed in his dad’s camp about 3 miles away and felt an unexplainable panic that somehow, something was terribly wrong with me. Not having a car and neither of us having phones, he jumped on his 10-speed and peddled in the dark down back country roads until he reached my camp and when he looked in the window he he saw what I was doing.

He sat with me the rest of the night and cradled my head as I threw up and rambled on about my “love”.. Years later I realized that was undeniably a miracle from GOD Himself; He must have had a plan for me because there’s no other explanation for my friend suddenly experiencing a sense of panic….panic enough to send him 3 miles on nothing but a feeling. GOD is good. I now have great kids and a ministry…

Blaine Cardilli I once heard Charles Stanley preach that if a truly saved Christian committed suicide, hell was NOT an option because we cannot lose our salvation; Only rewards would be lost for sure…He couldnt say what else but he assured us heaven would still be our home. He then preached a powerful message that would discourage any Christian from ever wanting to put themselves…or GOD…in that position. All I know is I saw a miracle that night..
