In the fall of 2003 I prayed: “Lord, what more can I do for You?” In just a few days a friend told me about a new internet ministry, Got Questions, and it was needing more writers on their volunteer staff to answer questions that came in. Would I be interested? I did not even need to pray about this, but considered it an answer to my prayer. After applying, I became a staff member. October 2013 was my ten-year anniversary, with some time-outs for illnesses.
Here I am, almost 90 years old, living alone as a widow in a little town in the Midwest answering questions from people around the world! What a challenge this has been, and what a privilege to serve the Lord in this way! Some questions require much Bible study, which I love very much. Other questions are seeking advice. During my years of Christian living I have had many experiences in many fields, and can now see how I can share what I have learned with others.
When a question comes in, I first spend time in prayer and thought about God would have me write. Several times I’ve asked advice from church pastoral staff members or others.
I count this privilege as a highlight of my life, and I pray I can continue until the Rapture or the Lord calls me home.
