Question on Eve’s response to the serpent in Genesis 3

September 14th, 2015
Gwen Sellers September 9 at 1:37pm Would anyone care to help me with a question? In Genesis 3:3, Eve seems to add to God's original command regarding the tree of knowledge of good and evil. I'm wondering how this affects the couple's innocence prior to their eating of the fruit. Why would either Adam or Eve feel the need to add extra restrictions to God's commands if sin was not yet an issue? Or am I missing something obvious here? Thank you! September 14th, 2015
Ed Chait September 12 at 5:20pm · Edited What do you guys think about this as regards Romans 11:25, particularly the meaning of "fullness"? http://www.messianicassociation.org/ezine16-sn.fullness.htm Like   Comment Seen by 31 Robert Lowry I generally concur, except I think that "the fulness of the Gentiles" means that God has an exact number of Gentiles that He will bring to salvation, since the word translated fulness means a "full number" or a "complete number". At the . . .

September 8th, 2015
"Why do you say, O Jacob, / and speak, O Israel, / 'My way is hidden from the Lord, / and my right is disregarded by my God'? / Have you not known? Have you not heard? / The Lord is the everlasting God, / the Creator of the ends of the earth. / He does not faint or grow weary; / his understanding is unsearchable. / He gives power to the faint, / and to him who has no might he increases strength. / Even youths shall faint and be weary, / and young men shall fall exhausted; / but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; / they shall . . .

Sample Q&A from August 2015

Question: How should Christians feel when they know that billions of people from other religions will burn in hell for eternity because of their beliefs? Answered by: James Toland, who has been a volunteer with us since May 2010. Answer: We should feel an earnest passion for the lost just as Jesus did, Luke 19:10, Mark 10:45. And it mattered so much to Him, He gave His life on the cross so that the lost could be saved, 1 John 2:2. We are called to be like Christ as John 2:6 states, "Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did," and . . .

Testimonials from August

From Eric Hoehn, who has been a volunteer with us since January 2011: I have a great story relative to Got Questions and how God is using it. I pastor at a local church. One of our other pastors is a chaplain for the local police. He helped a family over the weekend through an unexpected death. They needed a pastor to do the funeral (which I did today) so they came to me at our other pastor's recommendation. As I was walking through the service with the folks they said they had some things they wanted me to include in the service. Wouldn't you know . . .
