    • Erik van Geel This one proved to be very helpful to me and my family. Even though I don’t think it gives a full picture (I don’t want to start a discussion about talents and gifts and which are really tested here), it did prove to be very accurate and practical and gave me a lot of understanding about how God has equiped me and the people around me:

    • Tim White OK, I will walk backwards. I am not for spiritual gift tests. Such teaching distance us from daily dependence upon Christ. To teach spiritual gifts as is done by Elmer Towns and the others, you have to beef it up with scriptures that are not speaking about spiritual gifts. Knowledge of self has never equipped a servant who is empowered to do all that God calls him to do. OK, let me have it…..

    • Tim White Erik, I do like the phrase “God-given Gifts”, because that is what these tests speak to. But for people to limit their service by what they have discovered in gifting is not walking dependent upon the one who empowers us to do all things.

    • Nace Howell I use Uniquely You. At https://www.uniquelyyou.com/
It is a really accurate test. It is developed by psychologists and theologians, which means it costs money.

    • Jed Kramer I’ll check each of these out. Tim White, I fully agree! The key is to serve God in whatever capacity service is needed. God gifts us to do what he calls us to do … in the moment as well as long-term mission. The greatest thing we can offer God is our availability, obedience, and reliance on him. One benefit of identifying a person’s ‘spiritual gifts’ is that it may be an avenue God uses to embolden them to use the gifts he has given them rather than to shy away from service.
    • Jed Kramer I hadn’t ever taken such a test until I was looking for one (last night) that I could refer to a questioner who wanted one. The bulk of my (nearly complete) response involves asking God for revelation through prayer, Word, and mature Christians who know him more so than self-identification. Also, to serve God …. period: do not limit service to the test results. And, do not hyper-spiritualize service. Jesus served in very practical ways and requires the same of us. It is God who takes our obedience and does great spiritual things with it. I’m a teacher. Teaching isn’t spiritual in and of itself. When God communicates spiritual truth through my teaching, it is he who transforms the gift from physical to spiritual. I don’t believe I could exercise any spiritual gift apart from the Vine. Any such attempt would be all natural and fall flat.
    • Stuart Mattfield Jed, If I had to recommend one it would Elmer Townes’. However, I agree with Tim. These are human made skill assessments…I don’t think we were meant to be able to measure what is given freely by the Divine for His purposes and will. On the other hand I do truly believe that the Disney character I was meant to be is Mater. Blessings. (http://elmertowns.com/?page_id=5)
