Tim White KJV, ESV and about a dozen other versions are free. About a dozen commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons and other study helps are free. Others are available at different prices.

Tim White I added the Nkjv for about $12 when I used it as a primary. I use the free KJV+ with strong numbers frequently. Strongs is free.

Shea Houdmann John and Sarah, not sure on your questions. I think you would still get the discount if you signed up for the payment plan, but again, I am not sure. That is definitely something you could ask the Logos rep who calls you.

Vincent Trigili I forget what level I purchased, but it was in that 1500 price area, AFTER my discounts BUT I have used it just about everyday since. It is a great product. If it is something you can afford, I would strongly suggest you consider it.

Shea Houdmann Clive, it is a great product. It can almost be too much information. Sometimes when I do some research, there are too many options to explore. But, as a Bible research tool, there is nothing better.

Vincent Trigili I agree with Shea Houdmann – I bought it when Logos 4 was the “new” and coolest version, and upgraded to 5 when that first came out. Looks like I own “Scholar’s Library: Platinum (KF)” which I am not sure exists anymore. It got me through Seminary that is for sure.

Tim White I would love to be sold on it. I have been through a presentation by a company rep, a few years ago. Some Churches bought their pastor a copy. I was not so blessed, but was not so sold as to be separated from my funds.

Vincent Trigili Tim White – There are too many features to list, but IMO, the real value to Logos is the extensive library. Resources like the Pillar commentaries, BDAG, and so much more. The software itself is nice for how it lets you cross reference between completely disjoint sets of books – but none of it would matter with all the content it brings to the table. At least for me, that is the most important part of it.

Lincoln Bostick I’ve had Logos for a number of years. Whenever I use it I get stuck with the paralysis of analysis because of all the material. I was fortunate to be allowed to get a refund and downsize the library. I really like Word Search 10 which is quite robust but not as overwhelming!!! And the companion for Word Search that is such a blessing in my studying is PC Study Bible!!!!

Ed Chait For someone who doesn’t need to do sermon preps, is the base “Starter” option robust enough for general Bible study and research? Seems like it would have more than enough resources for laypeople.
