Happy Advent all! This is often a season of joyful anticipation as we think about celebrating the birth of our Messiah and long for His return. For those who light advent candles, the gradual increase of the light reminds us of the stunning reality that Jesus, the Light of the World, has come. Yet this is also often a season of darkness. There is no shortage of things over which our hearts ache, and we are keenly aware that this world is not ultimately our home.
Whether this newsletter finds you rejoicing in the Light of the World or feeling overcome by the darkness, we pray that you will know abiding hope, peace, and joy in Christ. Messiah has, indeed, come. And He will return! In the meantime, He has not left us alone. So we wait, trusting in His sovereignty, experiencing myriad foretastes of His fullness, and bolstered by the strength of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
We so appreciate that not only is God with us, He gives us the family of believers. It is a joy to count each of you as a brother or sister in Christ. Thank you for sharing the light of Jesus with so many others online, so that they may know Him and love Him more, too.
May you know the light, life, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ this Christmas season. May the reality of Immanuel, God with us, be an anchor to your soul and an encouragement to your spirit. Thank you so much for sharing His truth and love with others through GQM. It’s a joy to serve Him with you!
In Christ,
Gwen (for the Got Questions Ministries Staff)
