Managing editor and second-longest on the job, Kevin’s up.
Kevin was born in Winona Lake, Indiana, but his family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, when he was 9 years old. He has been a Kansan ever since. He graduated from Calvary Bible College in 1987 with a degree in Radio Broadcasting. He has been doing studio and on-air radio production for the past 28 years.
Kevin began writing short plays while in high school. He still writes and directs plays—about two a year—and as a playwright has 37 scripts published with several different companies. His newest play, Borrowed Time, is set for release in the spring by Pioneer Drama Service.
Kevin has always been involved in ministry: seven years as a youth pastor, twelve years as an English teacher in a Christian school, and, since 2001, as the pastor of Overbrook Bible Church. He began volunteering for Got Questions as a question answerer in 2003. In 2012, he was hired as the Managing Editor. His responsibilities include editing and proofing the online articles, helping edit the books, recording the audio pages, assigning and answering questions, and, when he has time, writing articles.
Kevin and his wife, Angela, were married in 1989. They have three children and live just south of Topeka, Kansas.
Favorite part of his job: Communicating God’s Word. And seeing the monthly reports of web traffic and reading the testimonies of how God’s Word is changing lives.
Things he likes to do: Spending time with his family, building and flying model rockets, reading great books, watching classic movies, and maintaining his aquarium.
Funny quirk: Due to his years of working live radio during the overnight hours, Kevin cannot sleep with a radio on.
