Scripture for September 2019
"And Jesus went throughout all the cities and
villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the
kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the
crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and
helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his
disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray
earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his
harvest'" (Matthew 9:35–38, ESV).
"I planted, Apollos . . .
"Let me hear in the morning of your
steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul" (Psalm 143:8, ESV).
"Let this be recorded for a
generation to come,
so that a people yet to be created may praise
the LORD:
that he looked down from his holy height;
from heaven the LORD looked at the earth,
to hear the groans of the prisoners,

For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life" (2 Corinthians 2:14–16a, ESV).
