Autumn will officially begin this month, and for many of us that means so will various groups and activities. Often the beginning of new things or return to routine brings a welcomed sense of normalcy. It’s good to be back with friends and to perhaps more intentionally re-engage our minds. What strikes me is the “first-day-of-school” sense of anticipation that seems to be retained through adulthood. What might be in store in the new? What growth will spark from a return to groups that took a summer break? It’s often a joy to wonder and look ahead with hope, eager to see what God will do. Even so, there might also be a sense of fear or uncertainty. In either case, I find the reality of God’s faithfulness extraordinarily encouraging. No matter what, we know He is unchanging, He is good, and He accomplishes His purposes.
Isaiah 55:10–11 was a recent reminder of this reality to me. May it also encourage you as you look ahead to what God has in store for you and your families this month. And may it be a reminder that with every answer you give, you are speaking God’s truth; He will use it to accomplish His purposes. Though we don’t hear back from most questioners, we know without a doubt that God uses these responses for His glory. So thank you for not growing weary and for faithfully proclaiming the excellencies of our great God to questioners eager to know Him!
Thank you for so faithfully sharing God’s truth and love with questioners. It is a joy to serve alongside you!
