Happy July, all! Freedom often seems to be the theme of this month. What a gift to know that our truest freedom is found in Christ. In Him, we are free from the penalty of sin and no longer slaves to sin or to fear. We are free to live out God’s design as slaves to righteousness, and more than that, as beloved children. We are free to experience that which is truly life, knowing that final restoration and fullness of freedom awaits in eternity. Recently, I had the privilege of sitting at my dad’s bedside with my mom and sister as he made his way Home to the Lord. First Corinthians 15 felt especially meaningful. Jesus has won the victory; the reality of death need not enslave or cause fear. Rather, “thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:57–58).
Thank you for being part of sharing the truth of the grand redemptive narrative and the amazing nature of our God with so many others. You abound in the work of the Lord, and it is not in vain!
Thank you for sharing the truth, life, and freedom of Christ with questioners. You bless many and bring glory to God!
