Announcements for April 2020

March 31st, 2020

We are certainly living in strange days … We pray you are resting well in Christ and feeling encouraged in the midst of this season. Our God is sovereign and faithful! For some of you corona virus has been extremely disruptive, for others it has altered some daily routines but not been drastic. Know that whatever situation you are in, we would love to pray for you and encourage you. So please do not hesitate to reach out.

Please also know that your ministry work with GotQuestions.org is incredibly valuable. With many people spending more time at home and online than previously, GotQuestions.org is positioned as a ready resource. And you all are a big part of why that is!

Usually we talk about hearts open to the gospel during the Easter season and our annual increase in traffic this time of year. We expect all of that to remain true. We also recognize that with the virus pandemic many more may be thinking about matters of mortality and wondering about God. We pray God is softening hearts and that many will respond to His offer of salvation. So while Resurrection Sunday celebrations will look different for most people this year, we trust that God can do a mighty work. Please be praying for Him to use our sites. Know we are also praying for you, your spheres of influence, and your local churches.

GOOGLE’S E-A-T:

As you saw in an email earlier this month, we are still working hard to improve our search engine results in Google. We just wanted to clarify that our asking for academic credentials to put on the site (here: https://www.gotquestions.org/GotQuestions-expertise.html) has absolutely nothing to do with whether we think you are qualified to answer questions. The world often looks to academic degrees as a measure of “expertise” or “authority.” And while we affirm the value of education, we know that a heart reliant on God and a commitment to His Word are all it takes. We so appreciate each of you and the ways you study God’s Word and help others in their questioning.
