At no point do you fall on the ‘just because’ style of answers like many others do. Every article that I look up is clearly deeply researched and is thoughtful in its substance. For example, the article about whether porn was a sin if we weren’t lusting after the person portrayed in it was spot on and completely cut through the lie that I was telling myself. For the first time in over 20 years of looking at porn I feel like I am finally able to win the fight. That is just one of many examples. Honestly, I had terrible experiences with Christians growing up, and only came to Christ through careful research (in regards to the Bible). Your answers to questions seem to mirror my research that led me to know that I am a sinner in desperate need of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for all of your work and effor t. From a questioner: “I moved recently, & in doing so I not only lost my childhood home, but keepsakes & items that were labeled with my name upon them. They were stolen & or thrown away. In reading answers to aid in my personal grief, I’ve come to realize that my memories will last longer than the material items. I also one week before Christmas Eve lost my beloved friend of 52 yrs.. I had just ordered her Christmas gift when her sister had requested I call her. When I heard the words: “Dee Dee died.”, it broke my heart in so many places, I thought it was the end of the world for me. My faith in God has sustained me, I know that she is with Him. I never doubted that, but during her illness, she always believed in the Miracle. Yet, God made the decision to take her home. My asking why is pointless because God the Father knows what’s best for His children; even in death. She was a beloved friend & devout Christian. It was she who reminded me of the love of Jesus Christ, & the right way to follow Him. I’m not as sad as I was when she died, but I’m coping with her death day-to-day. I’m very thankful that her pain is no more, & that I’ll see her again. These losses were piled upon each other, & the stress & pain of facing it all back-to-back was a stressor I hope I don’t experience again. But your assistance, & praying without ceasing has helped a great deal. Thank you for your valuable time.”
